Another Christmas manicure, inspired by a festive sweater.

Hi all!

Christmas is getting closer and the excitement is building up! I can’t wait! One of my favorite holiday outfits this year is a white cardigan with little glitter sequins — it just feels so appropriate for Christmas and I do love me a bit of sparkle! 😉China Glaze: White on White; Depend 2066 Silver Mist.

China Glaze: White on White; Depend 2066 Silver Mist.Taking inspiration from my sweater, I started off with a base of China GlazeWhite on White and then sponged on Depend 2066 Silver Mist, then I applied some MoYou Rhinestones in silver, to make a droplet/ice effect. China Glaze: White on White; Depend 2066 Silver Mist.

I think it matches my sweater perfectly, and I love how it sparkles in the light!

Tips and Tricks:

  • Wait for your base to dry before sponging on your glitter gradient. You can wait with cleanup until after you sponge on your polish, since it does get quite messy. Some people also recommend taping off the skin around your nails to help avoid mess, I usually skip this step, though glitter can really be a pain!
  • Apply a clear topcoat to get your nails sticky for rhinestone application. Dip a toothpick or a cuticle stick into a dab of clear nail polish to easily pick up your rhinestones.
  • Remember to get a good thick top coat, that can help you make sure you seal in your rhinestones, so they don’t fall off.

What do you think? What’s your favorite Christmas/holiday manicure?

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! Catch you on the flip side! 😉
