Polish Review Post of Sally Hansen Deep Purple and Rockstar Pink.

Today’s mani is a simple one, with two accent nails. I used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear, in Deep Purple: which is a metallic formula, in a ‘grape purple’ with silvery blue undertones. It’s a little less thick than Blue Me Away! which is a color I can sense a serious long-term love affair brewing with. Still, two generous coats or three thin coats and you have opacity. And it’s a lovely color to boot.

For my accent nails I used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear, in Rockstar Pink. This is an awesome glitter. Rockstar Pink is, in some reviews, said to have to different sized micro and extra fine glitters, but I must admit they all looked pretty similarly sized to me. There are pink (magenta), blue, red, silver, and gold pieces in this polish – all suspended in a clear base. This polish is great for layering and really catches the light. You could build full opacity in 3 coats, and use 1 or two coats when layering – depending on your preferences.

The two colors together create a nice understated manicure that is easy to do, while still being eye-catching.

For full sparkle, you can choose to layer Rockstar Pink over all your nails. Pictured below is Rockstar Pink layered over Deep Purple. I chose to take a picture in natural light so you can really get a feel for how the colors play off each other.

What do you think? Have you tried either color before? What color combinations would look great with these?
